Zuni Carved Six Directions Wolf by Clive Hustito

This beautiful Six Directions set with the Wolf as the largest animal was carved from various stones by Zuni artist Clive Hustito. The stones are chosen for the color they represent. Each of these colors is a directional color. East is the Wolf--white marble; and tied in a bundle on his back are the following directions. Nadir (down) is the Mole carved from jet--black; South is the Badger carved from shell--red; Zenith (up) is the Eagle carved from shell--all colors; West is the Bear carved from turquoise--blue; North is the Mountain Lion carved from shell--yellow. A wonderful and very unusual set.
