Frankie Howard

Frankie Howard (late 1950s- ) born in Moenkopi. Frankie is a very talented Katsina doll carver and is always happy to see us and visit for awhile. Frankie grew up in the tradition of most young Hopi men. He was very close to his extended clan family and began to learn the art of Katsina doll carving from his older male relatives. Frankie demonstrated talent at a very young age and his skill is still being refined with every new carving.
