Zuni Carved Parrot Fetish by Jon Quam

This wonderful parrot was carved from strawberry serpentine with turquoise, shell and coral accents by Zuni artist Jon Quam. His two additinal tail feathers are pipestone and serpentine. The parrot has long been prized for the beauty of its feathers, used both for decoration and in religious rituals. This spectacular piece came from a private collector.
