Buffalo carved from Zuni rock with shell horns and snout and turquoise eyes and hooves by Zuni artist Freddie Leekya. The buffalo represents good medicine, the fulfillment of powers and steadfast endurance. The buffalo was the mainstay of the Plains Indians and was used for food as well as shelter, clothing and weapons.
