The Deputy to the Sun appears in the Shalako ceremony. The Deputy to the Sun, also known as the Little Fire God, follows the path laid out by the Sun Father, praying for rain, health, and prosperity for the people. The Deputy to the Sun is usually a young man being initiated into the sacred rituals of the Zuni. This is the first time we have seen this Katsina.
