Old Style Hopi Carved Qoqooqlo Traditional Storyteller Kachina Doll (Katsina Doll)
Description
Old Style Hopi Carved Qoqooqlo Traditional Storyteller Katsina Doll by Kory Jean
Qoqooqlo (Qoqole or Qooqoqlo) appears at Third Mesa during Soyal. He tells stories and prophesies good crops. He brings gifts for the children. Qoqooqlo is one of the only Katsinam who appears in street clothes. The black Qoqooqlo arrives in pairs and opens the kivas on Hotevilla. I really like the sphagnum moss he used for this storyteller's ruff.
