This wonderful solid wood mask is a new art form for Richard Gorman. Four directions, migration, and kiva steps are among the symbols painted onto the surface. Beautiful feathers from many different birds adorn the piece. The earrings and shell medallion are carved from wood as well. The beautiful colors are a reminder of the southwest desert. A great new style for Richard whose combined Hopi/Navajo heritage brings symbolic meaning from both cultures to his work.
