The Deer Dancer (Sowi-ingwa) is a social dancer. He helps to ensure that game is plentiful and that sufficient snow comes in the winter to allow a good harvest the following year. He holds sticks in his hands to imitate front legs. This is a really nice doll from a new carver to Kachina House.
