Wonderful bird carved from turquoise with jet eyes by Zuni artist Sarah Leekya, the daughter of Leekya Deyuse. Birds serve as messengers to the gods and help us gain insight and aid in self-awareness. This wonderful very old bird has a little damage to its foot, but it does not stop him from standing tall.
