Wonderful older badger carved from Picasso marble and finished with an offering bundle by Zuni artist Leonard Halate. Leonard's carvings are more primitive than fetishes being carved today. We believe that these more primitive carvings with their simple offerings are significant carvings from years ago. These bundles are meant as a gift offering to the animal spirit. The bundles provide the animal spirit with energy, enhancing its powers and allowing its prayers to be heard more easily. Badger is one of the animals considered to be a healer. He is the guardian animal of the South.
