Native American Lakota Made Totem--Eagle and Bear Spirit by Bear Romero

This wonderful totem was carved by Lakota artist Bear Romero. The eagle, is the messenger between the people and the Great Spirit. Beneath him is a Bear with an open mouth. The carver left this empty stating it would be a wonderful location to place a special crystal or stone. Bear is the guardian of the West. Bear is associated with great strength and is considered to be a powerful healer. A really creative piece by a very creative and talented artist.
