Native American Navajo Made Earrings with Kokopelli and Turquoise
Description
Native American Navajo Made Earrings with Kokopelli and Turquoise by Jeff James Jr.
These beautifully made Sterling silver earrings of Kokopelli are accented with a single turquoise stone. Kokopelli is an engaging image that originated in the culture of the Ancient Ones and was brought into the present by the Pueblo Indians. This classic figure of a bent-over figure playing a flute has been associated with shamanism and supernatural qualities. He is a magical being who, by playing his flute, calls the clouds to make rain. Kokopelli is also a symbol for fertility because he carries seeds and mist in his hump. These earrings are signed by Navajo artist JJ.
