Native American Navajo Made Cedar Flutes
Description
Native American flutes are instruments of music, ceremony, entertainment, courtship and love. Some Navajo medicine men say a girl will find irresistible the boy who plays the flute for her. Most traditional Navajo flutes were made of sunflower stalk; in present day the flutes are evolving into a medium of artistic expression that uses a variety of materials. These cedar flutes, tuned to F Sharp, E Minor, and G Minor are handcrafted by Jonah Thompson. These flutes are samples of Native American instruments and the diversity within Navajo culture. Jonah has just retooled his flutes. The sound is amazing. He tunes them electronically and makes the sound pitch perfect for each flute. It is something he has wanted to do for some time...now all of his flutes have a magnificent sound.
