This Katsina, the Sio Hemis appears during Pamuya or or during the Sio Hemis Niman Ceremony which celebrate the harvest. He appears infrequently and is rarely carved. It is believed he came from Zuni. The Sio Hemis is interchangeable with the Hopi Hemis during Niman.
