Description
Old Style Hopi Carved Navajo Traditional Dancer Katsina Doll by Andrew Honahnie
Navajo (Tasap) is a Katsina who honors the Navajo people. The Tasap is a messenger to the gods and one of his tasks is to bring rain. Tasap appears during Angak'wa and the summer Katsina day dances. Since they depict the Navajo, their songs may have some Navajo words speaking of the good things of life and/or words representing moisture.
