The Deer Dancer (Sowi-ingwa) is a social dancer. He helps to ensure that game is plentiful and that sufficient snow comes in the winter to allow a good harvest the following year. This larger piece by Cedric shows the deer with a rattle and the sticks he uses to imitate the front legs of a deer. This piece stands atop a base which represents mountains and water.
