Vintage Native American Santo Domingo Made Turquoise Necklace with Jaclas
Description
1970s Native American Santo Domingo Made Turquoise Necklace with Jaclas
This Santo Domingo made necklace was created by an unknown silversmith with handcut and polished natural turquoise nuggets separated with pinshell heishe. The bottom of the necklace sports two jaclas (ear strings). These are traditional additions to this necklace. The handcut and ground turquoise is accented by the white spiny shell on the ends of the loops, which are called corn. This is a beautiful traditionally created piece.
