Native American Navajo Handbuilt Pitch Bowl with Corn
Description
Native American Navajo Handbuilt Pitch Bowl with Corn by Betty Manygoats
This wonderful bowl with corn plants and a corn cob on the inside was handbuilt by Navajo master potter Betty Manygoats. The corn plants are in the four directions and the cob is in the center. Corn is the staple crop of the Native Americans. This traditional piece was waterproofed by dipping the just-fired hot pottery in hot pine pitch. We are grateful to have traditional Navajo handbuilt pottery in our shop. This bowl CANNOT hold liquid.
