Native American Lakota Made Ceremonial Gourd Rattles by Bear Romero
This rattle is typical of those used during ceremony. Some of these simple gourd rattles are plain and some have painted symbols. The handles are plain, most are found desert wood. The rattle is usually carried in the right hand of the dancer during ceremonies. These pieces are very similar to the simple ones that are used in daily prayer by the Native Americans.
