This gourd has a turtle painted on one side with jet eyes and a circle of Mimbres style corrugated material for his shell accented with a turquoise stone. A beautiful gourd pot by Robert. The turtle represents longevity, and it is believed by some Native Americans that we are living on the back of a turtle.
