"How I would define the characters if I was a potter 900 years ago.
The two small figures represent the twin gods fighting the monsters on their migration to the Hopi Lands.
The Butterfly man appearing as a dancer during his migration from Chaco Canyon.
One of the Twin Gods as he was preparing for the warrior ceremony.
Corn Maiden as she was dancing in the rain dance ceremony down in the springs at First Mesa.
The opening on the top of the pot is the "Sipapu" mans' place of Emergence in to the Fourth World. Located in the Grand Canyon.
The Brown at the top represents the land above the Grand Canyon where man resides
The Red (Iron Oxide) represents the Grand CAnyon
The Figures around the pottery represent the ancestral land of the Hopi in the Southwest."
