Philbert (1966- ) lives on Hotevilla, Third Mesa. Philbert carves in the Old Style or "New Traditional Kachinas." He began carving when he was seventeen-years-old. He watched the elders and is primarily self-taught. Philbert's favorite subjects to carve are the badger and frogs.
